Accounts Overview


The Accounts tab in BillingPlatform contains the billing entities that you will create in your application, and is multi-level in structural heirarchy. The Account sits at the top level and under each account, elements such as contracts, provisioning of products, and packages can be done.

Refer to the diagram below to understand how the different elements related to Accounts are tied together.

For each account, you can provision products directly or through package products (ie. for bundles). You can also further define pricing information via contracts.

Contract - Contracts are a collection of rates that are used to rate the customer's billing events. These can be used to implement scheduled rates and different pricing for the products defined in the system specific to the customer.

Account Products - Account Products are the individual products that are provisioned to the customer.

Account Packages - Account Packages are collections of bundled products that are provisioned to the customer.
